How to deal with making mistakes

Hello, it has been awhile… So i am in a department where mistakes are intolerable as our words holds very strong substance.

However I am very prone to making little tiniest mistake that for some reason my manager is able to catch very strongly.

Be it emails, drafting letters, despite checking through, reading through many times i am unable to find the mistakes and yet my manager is able to find. Happen 100%.. I couldnt see but she could see, cuz of that i keep checking and checking and yet still cannot find but she still spot mistakes..

During my checks, i have to admit i was nervous, and someone who was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, i cant help but feel anxious when checking knowing how little mistakes can be spotted. During my checks, i check through spelling, checked the content, check the numbers, check the dates but yet i missed out on grammers which was spotted by my manager despite reading like 5-6 times. And these kind of email content is the kind that I will send very often, last time was on content, previous time was on date, this time was on grammer. But it wasnt that i never check, i did. But making so many mistakes big or small, makes me feel my manager think i am careless, i am not competent or I dont check at all. And this will affect appraisals which is coming soon.. Cuz of this i cant help but to feel more mind blank when checking and nervous and anxious as well and yet still get caught, tbh sometjmes i dont even know i am checking.

Small mistakes like this to big mistakes that is like work and skills related make me worry that i will look incompetent and tbh i dont even feel my mind is empty and blank all the time so i am underperforming but is not that i am not trying.. Big mistakes are like those, huh but u r from (department), how can u not know those kinds..So idk how

That sounds really exhausting especially while having depression and anxiety… Sometimes checking through and missing the errors is genuinely because of stress and the anxiety… I can hear how much this is affecting your work on a daily basis and also your worry about how it might affect your appraisals… It might be a good idea to get support for your depression and anxiety as it also connects to how it affects you feeling overall… You could seek a GP to get referral to a Psychologist or seek a counsellor from your nearest Family Service Centre… You can also reach out to us to speak to one of our counsellors at 1771 or text us at 6669 1771… Please don’t go through this alone… Take care…
