My husband had an affair with his female colleague. The female colleague is married and he gave in to temptation which really broke my heart. Worst .. the ■■■■■ continue to flirt with him despite me Telling him to not contact her or ZERO contacts when I keep reminding him to steer clear of her.
What break my heart the most is they booked a hotel and he lied to me that he had always loved me when all is a big fat lie. He asked for forgiveness last year and I thought everything is back to normal but I realised the girl keep finding him despite having a husband and a child. I hate this woman and I want her family to be destroyed and lost every single thing that belongs to this ■■■■■. I want to leave but can I?

hi @flowingfinch2011
im so sorry this happened to you, but what he did wasn’t a mistake in the sense of an accident. it was his choice.
whether he loves you or not, love by itself isnot enough if it isnt backed by HONESTY, RESPECT and LOYALTY. from what ive read so far, his actions have not matched his words, and thats the problem. if he really loved you and cared about you he would have never cheated. this may sound harsh but it’s the truth.
as for the other woman i can understand why ur angry but wishing for her family to be destroyed will probably only keep you trapped in this pain. she made her own choices and her kid and husband are innocent and are victims too, but your husband also chose to betray your marriage and the responsibility doesn’t belong to her alone.
and yes u can leave if that’s what you decide is best for u. take your time and think about ur safety, finances and support system. choose the path that will give u the best chance at healing. if you do decide to leave him, it would be good to collect evidence of him cheating so it will be easier for you when it’s taken to court.
but of course the choice is all urs and you should take whatever i say with a grain of salt since im still a teenager
but all the best i hope u figure it out!
a betrayal is not easy to navigate.
but i feel called to tell you this. someone’s decision to cheat is not a reflection of you or your worth. in fact, sometimes a person can love you and still cheat on you. people can do all kinds of things.
you are clearly hurt by his actions and by the looks of it, he seems to be continuing to hurt you. in this situation, i feel it is important that you ask yourself if there is something worth saving, or if its even possible to fix this at this point.
you deserve a love that is kind and true.
Infidelity is a choice not a distraction. That woman was luring him and he went for it. As long as your husband was enjoying the new attention, his heart would continue to be astray. For yourself don’t just suffer silently. Have a heart to heart talk or visit a counsellor together. Stay cool but purposeful and objective. If nothing works then make that decision. But whatever you decide, be stoic and be proud of yourself for that. Do not crumble at all, life is full of opportunities, just be open mentally and emotionally. You can do it!
