Recently my family went aboard left me alone in my own house. I was feeling some kind of anxiety staying at home at night. That night..I almost break down. I was feeling my head going to burst out…heart beat fast…my stomach don’t know is got something inside…my stomach feels hot…and my whole body feel hot and my head was giddy. Actually I got took my panic attack medicine in the first place but no use. I keep coughing and feeling very hot in my body. I don’t know whether is this normal. I hv actually got go hospital check up two years ago of my stomach…acid reflux and gastric problem but nothing was found i even went for colon check up. The doctor say my results is negative I don’t have any serious problem. But I wonder why my stomach is very big. But I know recently my weight is 94kg drop to 90 kg…when I went overseas came back home. I was perspiration alot during my trip to Thailand when I did alot of walking. So is there any solutions to improve my health state? Doctor also can’t find out the problem. Who should I seek help? Is this normal?

Dear @laidbackjellyfish1137

Thank you for reaching out. Reading your post it make sense that what you experienced was very frightening, especially since you were alone at home when it happened. The symptoms you described which was feeling your head was going to burst, a racing heartbeat, dizziness, feeling hot, stomach discomfort, and a sense that something was very wrong can occur during periods of intense anxiety or a panic attack. However, it is understandable that these physical sensations would cause worry about your health.

It is also reassuring that you have already had medical evaluations, including investigations for your stomach symptoms, and that no serious underlying medical condition was found. I think anxiety and stress could be affecting digestion, causing stomach discomfort, changes in appetite, sweating, dizziness, and sensations of heat.

You also mentioned feeling anxious about being alone at home. Sometimes a stressful situation can trigger or worsen physical symptoms, even if there is no new medical problem present.

That said, if your symptoms are becoming more frequent, more severe, or changing significantly, it would be a good idea to follow up with your doctor again. In addition to your medical doctor, it may be helpful to speak with mental health professionals, especially since you mentioned you are already prescribed panic attack medication. They can help assess whether anxiety may be contributing to these symptoms and teach strategies to manage them.

I encourage you to monitor your symptoms, maintain regular meals and sleep, stay hydrated, continue with appropriate medical follow-up, and seek support when you’re feeling overwhelmed rather than coping with it alone.

I believe addressing both physical and emotional wellbeing will help improve your overall health.

May I also recommend that if you experience severe chest pain, fainting, difficulty breathing, or any sudden concerning symptoms, it is best to seek urgent medical attention to bring you back to safety. Your health and wellbeing is always a priority.:yellow_heart:
