I am a self declared foodie I would like to hear some of your favourite and recommended hawker places and dishes so that I could try them for myself. Also where do you think has the best Satay?
I love satay too but haven’t found any hawker stall that blows my mind yet. My current favorite is from Leo Satay that has unskewered satay. Just need to heat up and eat.
Besides satay, I’m also a big fan of King of Fried Rice - have you tried that?
Hi @Jaws
I don’t think I’ve tried king of fried rice yet.
Oooo I quite like the satay from Hainan Story it has a unique pineapple peanut sauce but it can be abit expensive so its good to share with people haha
Edit: just realised its not hawker but its still one of my faves
Hainan story has satay? Theres one outlet at my area. I like the chicken chop, hm but some of their stuff so oily and fried till my stom no good
Cant eat too often
I thoroughly enjoy the food at Wild Olives in Pasir Ris. It serves affordable Western fare. The queue may be a little long, so do plan ahead
Shall we try hawker-hopping, as in, cafe-hopping, hawker style? I believe coffee shops are counted also, as both places are very budget-friendly (thanks to CDC vouchers) anyways.
And yup, Satay by the bay, Esplanade gluttons bay, Newton food centre, and Maxwell food centre are just some of the best places to find awesome and sedap satay, from what I know so far.
I like laksa, but not sure where can i find the best because they all taste equally nice (as long as there are no blood cockles ).
As for satay, i do not particularly like them so don’t have an answer for you
There’s 328 Katong Laksa, the most prominent Laksa brand, with its outlets branching all over Singapore, I believe.
Also, you’re not alone, as it’s very true, that not everyone likes satay. I feel you.
Janggut laksa is the best!
Janggut Laksa @Roxy Square: Just how good is “The Original Katong Laksa”?
Hello fellow foodie here too! I think my favourite satay place would have to be those at chomp chomp ! They’re juicy, tender and flavourful !! Another hawker food that i think it’s worth trying would be Yi Ji hokkien mee at Hougang
