You mentioned “mental illness”. I understand you. Every person will definitely development negative feelings/thoughts at some point in their lives, and that is perfectly normal. You can share your story here with the community (only if you want to); knowing that you are not alone can be comforting. Being in nature can definitely help elevate mood! Not sure if you are already aware, but there are both paid and free hiking/walking events on mobile apps like “Meetup”. I am sure you will be able to find someone to share your challenges with. Sometimes new joiners feel awkward surrounded by so many strangers, but keep in mind all friendships begin as strangers. And besides, you will definitely not be the only new joiners at such events (i know because i am quite active in such events). :grinning_face:
