i think i have anxiety??

not even recently, throughout my sec 1-4 life i have repeatedly experienced increased heart rate and sometimes my heart feels like its going to pop out of my chest for absolutely no reason. it gets worse at time, where it gets a little harder to breathe and i have to take lots of deep breaths even just resting and using my phone. i dont get scared when i go out, because i have convinced myself that no one in public will ever see me again, but going to school and gatherings is a completely different setting. i get anxious when i go to school (because of my experience there) and recently it has been getting worse, i cant even talk to people online without worrying about their perception of me and my heart rate increases. i took a measurement of my heart rate with my friends watch before and it showed ard ~110 bpm when i was just sitting down, although my sister says our family has higher heart rates.

Dear @user4840

Thank you for reaching out. It is understandable that you feel worried about the symptoms you described especially since you have experienced these sensations for more than four years.

It will be good to let your parents know to discuss options available such as to consult a medical doctor soon. The doctor would investigate further and check if there is an underlying medical condition behind the heart rate spike. The doctor could also assess if your symptoms are anxiety related and if so, refer you to mental health professionals.

Do consider exploring the mindline website especially the service wayfinding feature for resources that could help:
