Hi @siren,
I am quite concerned when you mentioned about being on the receiving end of domestic violence and verbal abuse. Please know that help is available.
You can contact the National Anti-Violence Helpline at 1800-777-0000. If it’s not safe to talk, you may choose to make an online report here (NAVH Reporting Form).
You may also approach your nearest Family Service Centre (MSF | Directories) for assistance.
Best regards,

Dear @siren
Thank you for reaching out. I hear how much you have been going through. Living with domestic violence or DV, verbal abuse, and feeling unwanted or hated by the people around you is hurtful and chaotic, and it’s completely valid to feel you have had enough with everything. You don’t have to share your full story until you’re ready. Just sharing a little is still a big step. I see you and laud your courage.
Since you mentioned you’re waiting until you can get a job and move away, I get that it feels like there’s no way out right now. But in the meantime, if there’s anyone you can approach such as a teacher, a school counsellor, or a relative—it might help to let them know what’s going on, even if it’s just a bit. You don’t have to deal with all this alone. Instead of bottling it all inside of you, speaking with them may offer you a chance to exhale and verbalise your feeling in a safe environment. You may gain from another perspective and talking it out may help you figure out options you have not known about.
In Singapore, you can consider contacting the MSF National Anti-Violence Helpline (NAVH) at 1800-777-0000. It’s available daily 24/7 and you can also use their online chat options.
Do check out through this website, too:
There are options in case you feel like you need someone outside the situation to hear you. For now, please continue to reach out for support here whenever you need to. Please also take steps to ensure your safety.
Sorry to hear that, must have felt upsetting.
If talking to them doesn’t help, meanwhile don’t clash with them.
Make full use of your stay back home, and work hard and be financial independent. You have great potential, so don’t give up ever !
