School & burnout?

hey!

i’ve been having a bit of an issue with burnout & productivity recently. halfway through a semester in university while completing a part-time internship right now. i don’t know if my study methods aren’t efficient or if i’m just not getting enough sleep, but i’ve been so tired and the thought of sitting down and completing work is so sian (for the lack of a better word).

preparing for my exams and rushing an assignment that’s due soon while completing the project for my internship on the side so i really don’t have much time to be burnt out. not sure if y’all have any tips! on how to undo burnout quickly. don’t have many hobbies because i cant stay interested in something for long :frowning:

Thank you for reaching out on this platform! It sounds like you’re going through a really busy period right now. Needing to cope between your internship on top of your studies certainly isn’t easy. It also sounds like you’re going through a lot of stress from your upcoming exams and deadlines. And I hear you. First off, I want to say it’s quite amazing that you’re able to do a part-time internship while studying, and not everyone can do that!

Next, regarding your query on your burnout, I know that you do not have much time, but I think doing something for yourself and giving yourself a breather could be good. It doesn’t have to be something long or big, it could just be treating yourself to a nice meal that you always wanted to eat or your favourite food during meal times, or taking a short 15 minutes break to maybe listen to music to unwind or go out for a walk can give your mind and body some time to rest! Would you be open to trying these?

hello! as a student myself, I can empathise with the periods where life gets hectic, and my favourite way to relieve my stress is to go on short walks in the garden near my home. by breaking down the tasks I have into small tasks, such as completing a lecture today does help me to feel more collected, and sleep is also paramount! I try to get enough sleep by sleeping early, as it can help me to be more refreshed during the examination itself! all the best op <3
