chest pains :(((

oh god, im on here so much , but holy idk if this is due to anxiety, but, i think it is cause, basically i feel like ■■■■, my chest hurts so bad and i feel trapped whenever i breath or just sit there. sometimes it goes away, but its quite persistent but, the main cause of it appearing is when something bad happens of when i even see something that connects me to all my bad choices, especially to my friends that i want to push away, or well, i pushed away myself. theres this one person i pushed away and it’s honestly my fault, but im upset she didnt care and theres another guy, an online friend and im terrified he’ll do something if i try and push him away and block him everywhere because hes quite exhuasted, but we dont really talk anymore. Also, just a lot of issues have been happening and im so stressed out and im worried my chest pain will affect my exams and idk what to do:sob::sob: cause its so bad really.

Hi there productivesquirrel3182, thank you for reaching out today!

The chest hurting and feeling trapped whenever you breath or just sit there sounds a lot like physical anxiety. When anxiety kicks in, your body tenses up, your breathing becomes shallow, and your chest can feel tight or heavy. I do want to urge you to closely monitor those symptoms and see a doctor if it persist or it gets too unbareable, we cannot rule our other possible physical illness that might be causing it instead.

Regarding your friend, you mentioned that you are terrified that your friend will ‘do something’ if you try to block, could you share with me more about what you mean by that? Also, On the friend you pushed away, feeling upset that she didn’t fight harder to stay, even when you were the one who pulled back, is such a human and painful thing. It doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you someone who was probably hurting and didn’t know how to handle it.

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now, i am wondering if you are able to share it with anyone like counsellor or school counsellor? As for support, you can always reach out to Mindline at 1771 or 6669-1771 to speak to a counsellor there.
