Hi @user1138, thank you trusting “Let’s Talk” as a platform to share about your concerns and struggles.

It sounds like you’re feeling concerned about the economic future of Singapore and how it might impact your job security and income. It’s understandable to be anxious about these uncertainties, especially as companies are starting to relocate to countries with lower costs of operation.

Can you tell me more about your specific concerns regarding the economy and your job prospects? What industries are you familiar with, and how have you seen the impact of rising costs on businesses in these sectors?

Hello @user1138 :wave:t2:! Thank you for sharing how you’re feeling!

Feeling nervous about these changes is quite normal. Economic changes may be debilitating, particularly when they impact job stability. However, keep in mind that Singapore has survived previous economic downturns (like covid) and is still investing in new sectors and the advancement of talent. Your strengths are resilience and flexibility, and you might feel more secure by concentrating on learning new skills or taking advantage of new chances. There are tools and ways to go on, so you’re not the only one with this worry. Keep going  things will eventually stabilise

Hey @user1138 It’s completely understandable to feel anxious about Singapore’s future, especially with companies moving to countries with lower costs. These shifts can make it feel like the economy is becoming more uncertain, and it’s natural to worry about how that might impact your own financial security and earning potential. I also think this is not only a concern in Singapore but in other countries as well.

To prepare for this uncertainty, maybe you could try focusing on skills that are in high demand, especially in emerging fields, can be a proactive way to protect your earning power. Taking steps to build in-demand skills can give you more flexibility and confidence as the economy changes. It’s completely valid to feel unsettled, but remember that Singapore’s resilience and your ability to adapt can help you navigate this changing landscape.
