Is it normal for a married couple to live as room mates after a few years?

Thank you for reaching out. I gather that your question is related to your present relationship with your spouse.
My experience when working with couples is that every couple’s circumstances and situation is different so what is normal is not generalisable. However if you are facing distress, please do bring up to your spouse and discuss your concerns openly and respectfully. If needed, speaking confidentially with a couple counsellor together with your spouse may also help. Please remember to stay kind and compassionate to yourself. 
i think every couple has their own preferences, but i kind of sense that you might not be satisfied with this rooming arrangement. as such, communication within the couple could be useful, and also prevent negative thoughts from escalating
