When I stepped outside, and I realised people noticed me because I’m good looking, it stresses me out, and gave me panic attacks… I don’t know why… but this has been going on for a year or so… how can I cope ?
Hello @user7096 thank you for opening up about this. Panic attacks can feel really intense and frightening, and it’s completely understandable that you’re finding it hard. I hope you’ve been giving yourself some kindness and patience while going through this.
It might really help to reach out to a counsellor or therapist if you can. They can work with you on ways to manage the panic attacks when they happen and help you feel a bit more in control. You don’t have to face it alone; there’s support out there for you. Be gentle with yourself while you take things one step at a time.
hey @user7096, that sounds really hard… it must be so uncomfortable to feel that kind of stress & panic every time you go out
. you’re definitely not alone in this – sometimes just being out in public can make us feel like we’re being watched or judged (even when people don’t mean any harm), and that can understandably be vv anxiety-inducing…
it might help to practise grounding techniques when that happens? simple things like the 5-4-3-2-1 technique, focusing on your breathing, or repeating a calming phrase in your head might rlly help to bring you back to the present. as @CozyCompanion mentioned, it might also help to talk to a counsellor / therapist – they can help you understand why this reaction happens, and teach you tools to manage it.
you deserve to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin. be patient with yourself, and take care, okie? i’m rooting for you ![]()
