Hi everyone!
Let’s talk about anxiety—it’s something most of us have experienced at some point. That tight chest, racing thoughts, or feeling like you’re on edge for no reason? It can be overwhelming.
Anxiety isn’t all bad, though. It’s our brain’s way of keeping us safe, like an overprotective friend. The problem is when it gets too loud, making everything feel like a threat, even when we’re not in danger.
If this sounds familiar, here’s a reminder: you don’t have to “fix” yourself, but you can work with your anxiety. Start by noticing when it shows up—what triggers it? Grounding techniques like deep breathing, naming five things you can see, or moving your body can help.
It’s also okay to seek help if anxiety feels like it’s running the show. Talking to someone about it can make a huge difference!
What’s one thing that helps you calm your mind when anxiety kicks in?

Hi everyone!
Let’s dig a little deeper into anxiety today. Ever notice how it often comes with a story? Things like:
- “If I mess up, everyone will think I’m a failure.”
- “I have to do this perfectly, or it’s all ruined.”
- “What if something bad happens?”
These thoughts can feel so real and urgent, but here’s a gentle reminder: anxiety likes to trick us into believing the worst-case scenario is the most likely one.
Next time anxiety starts weaving its tale, try this:
Pause and question the story – Ask yourself, “Is this thought 100% true? What might I be overlooking?”
Talk back to anxiety – Imagine you’re reassuring a worried friend. What would you say to comfort them? Say that to yourself.
Shift the focus – Anxiety often pulls us into “what ifs” about the future. Try grounding yourself in the present by asking, “What do I know to be true right now?”
Remember, anxiety isn’t the full picture; it’s just one voice in the crowd. The more you practice recognizing and responding to it, the less power it holds over you.
What’s one “story” anxiety has told you recently, and how did you challenge it? Let’s keep the conversation going.
