I think there will be potential TWs but im not sure what to name it??
Hi everyone, I want to ask, is it normal to feel like throwing up all the time. I want to wretch whenever I do anything, when I eat, after I eat, looking at work, doing work, its like theres always something at the back of my throat that won’t come out, like I have to swallow everything down.
I’m not sure if its because I’m always tired and lacking motivation. (I’m a student that sleeps around 1.5-4 hour weekdays since I was around 10 or 12 but this is like a recent development )
Or if it because I feel so numbed down all the time, like that normal panic when it comes to deadlines, or that thrill when you do something fun, its all either gone or dialed down.
Or if its the fact that I know deep down I want to starve but I can’t help but keep eating like a pig and it makes me want to scratch my skin off. (I don’t)
This feeling is always stuck at the back of my throat, sometimes its bearable, other times I want to run to the bathroom, but for a while, its always been there, and I’m tired of it, could I get some insights please, to see if its a physical or mental toll that I am making up?
Thank you for coming forward and courageously sharing what you are experiencing. I agree that feeling like throwing up all the time can be really overwhelming and can affect your daily life. Please know what you are experiencing is valid and understandable: it can be managed though by you taking some small steps forward.
It’s essential to understand that this feeling can be related to both physical and mental health. Considering your situation, it’s possible that your nausea is related to stress, lack of sleep, and maybe some underlying digestive issues. I recommend speaking with a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying conditions. They can help you identify the root cause and suggest personalised solutions.
In the meantime, here are some Self-Care Tips to help manage your nausea:
Exercise regularly: Engage in moderate physical activity, like brisk walking or yoga, to reduce stress.
Practice relaxation techniques: Try meditation, deep breathing, or guided relaxation to calm your mind and body.
Eat smaller, frequent meals: Avoid heavy meals that can worsen nausea.
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Remember, you’re not alone in this. Seeking help is the first step towards feeling better. Do also consider speaking to your school Counsellor to address the sleep issue, the irregular eating patterns and stress. Please do this soon so that you can enjoy a better quality of life. Take small steps daily to improve the situation♥️.
hi @shi
so sorry that you are experiencing this, it must be so overwhelming and uncomfortable to have that nauseous feeling all the time. i think it would be good to speak to a healthcare professional about this, because it seems like it is affecting your eating as well as your mental state. if possible, do try to sleep more everyday. sleep is superr important in helping our bodies stay strong and balanced, especially at this stage of life where you are studying. it gives your body the time it needs to repair and restore itself, which might help with your nauseousness.
take care of yourself, and please rest well!
