No point of anything

What is the point of reaching out when they dw to chat and make me more angrier

hey @user5090, i’m rlly sorry that’s been your experience thus far :<< it takes so much courage to reach out, and i can imagine how frustrating it must feel when the people we hope will help end up leaving us hanging.

idk who “they” refers to, but perhaps it might be helpful to think of possible reasons why this happens? eg. sometimes people might not be in the right headspace themselves, or might feel unsure how to respond. other times things may unfortunately slip through the cracks. none of that makes it fair, and it def doesn’t take away from how valid your feelings are.

i do hope you’ll continue reaching out, whether here on let’s talk or elsewhere. you deserve care and support :mending_heart:

Thank you for giving another chance at reaching out here, even though the replies here will take time to reach back to you.

Before we try to work things out, may I check in how you are feeling at this moment?

Is there something pressing in your life that is causing other strong emotions inside you?

Hi @user5090

It is frustrating when there’s an expectation from someone, but it goes unrealised. I guess I’m wondering for you too, what lead you to post this? Would the answer to that question provide some insight as well into what reaching out does for you?

For me, sometimes I do end up reaching out even though I’m angry, because I want the other person to understand how I’m feeling. Sometimes it’s with my parents or friends. And then we’re able to have a talk about the anger I’m feeling, which helps me! And then sometimes, I express how I’m angry, but the other person doesn’t want to engage with me and have a talk about it (I guess quite similar to what you say, so I resonate with that). Although I get upset, something I realise for me is that I at least feel a sense of closure – at least I tried to reach out and I said what I wanted to say. I wonder if you get this feeling too when reaching out?

At the end of the day, there may be all sorts of reasons for reaching out! Some things that help me identify if there is a point and why i’m doing it is thinking about what I hope for when I keep reaching out and why do people react differently from how I expect.

Take care <3 Hearing the anger and thanking you for sharing how you feel

Hey @user5090,
I acknowledge you for being open and true about your emotions. I hear your frustration and anger about reaching out, they are in fact very valid and it does get frustrating when you don’t get a reply from those you desperately need help from.

I know you’re angry, I know you’re hurt, but please do not close yourself up because of those past unfavourable experiences~ You are not alone in your struggles, there are people who truly want to help. Your anger is valid, your pain is valid, you are not alone, you are not a burden, you are precious and you are loved.

When things get tired and you feel you can’t continue any longer, step left, rest. Don’t give up, step left. Step left again and again. If you need to step left for hundreds of times because you’re so emotionally and mentally drained, step left. You are stronger than you think are, you have come this far, don’t give up, step left. Never strong trying.

And when you have the strength again, go forth with passion and strength. I’m rooting for you.

Many hugs and support💙
