Is it good that I was a lance corporal in NS before I got discharged? Does it mean I did quite well?

For sure! There are probably less lance corporals than corporals.

Think most people get lance corporals or corporals when they finish NS. Don’t think there’s much differentiation in the Singapore context (and definitely not an indication of your capabilities)

I was 3SG when I ORD-ed but again I have to say that the ranks are not any indication of our capabilities haha.
