Hi @lovelychange,
As a (graduated) uni student, I would dedicate about 2 hours for revision, assignments as well as catching up on lectures.
However, this timing can be extended (especially during exam periods where I would spend a longer time on more complex modules). It’s important to find a schedule that works for you!
hi @lovelychange ,
If the main issue you are facing is that you are unable to sustain concentration to do “enough” studying, consider changing environments (e.g., going to library to study, or just studying in another room at home). You can also consider studying multiple different modules. The main idea is to switch things up. Also take frequent breaks (such as the Pomodoro technique, where you study for 25 minutes and take a 5 minutes break).
Lastly, instead of re-writing and highlighting lecture notes, consider attempting past exam questions instead.
Finally, at the end of the study session, reward yourself by enjoying the things you love!
Hey! Honestly it really varies from person to person, and even from week to week. Some students might only spend an hour or two outside of classes if things are light, while others could be putting in several hours a day especially around exams or when assignments pile up. A lot depends on your course load, how you study best, and what else you have going on in life.
What’s important isn’t hitting a certain “number of hours,” but finding a routine that works for you and keeps you from burning out. For some, shorter but focused study sessions are more effective than long stretches. For others, they need that longer sit-down time.
How’s it been looking for you so far?
Hi @Rotovap .
Thanks for your inputs. Actually, it was just a random doubt I got in my mind, nothing much of a serious matter.![]()
Hi @Grace25 !
Phew, you gave me some relief cos I was wondering if it was just me studying in such a manner.
Otherwise, life is awesome ![]()
