What is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share a bit about cognitive behavioural therapy or more commonly referred to as CBT.

In a nutshell, CBT can help someone manage their problems by changing the way they think and behave. This happens as the person identifies their distressing thoughts, evaluate how realistic the thoughts are, and learning how to change the distorted thinking. This then leads to improvements in the way they feel as they begin to think more realistically.

This will be a series of posts that covers CBT and what it’s all about – hope y’all are excited to discover more about CBT! In the meantime, feel free to share any questions that you might have about CBT too. :slightly_smiling_face:
