the exact thing i’m feeling right now damn…
especially the ‘no sense of urgency’ thing…
obviously since i’m in the same boat i can’t give you uni miracle stories BUT i have exceeded my wildest expectations in o levels and psle despite feeling the exact same way lol so…things might not turn out as bad as they seem?

best wishes to you for tmr and the other papers too! we can do this!

hello @manda1 I had a few JC friends who went through alternative routes after receiving less than ideal A level results. One went back to Poly (did very well!), and then went to local uni after. A few went to private uni and they got decent jobs after. Good luck for your other papers! Take things one step at a time.

Hello @manda1! :wave:t2:

It’s OK to feel overburdened at the moment, particularly given the strain of examinations and all that is piling up. As a protective mechanism, our brains might sometimes “shut down” under such stress, making it difficult to concentrate or feel the urgency even when you want to. You’re managing a lot on your own right now, so it’s quite OK to require someone to listen.

Try dividing the material you need to study for tomorrow into a few main ideas or parts so you can cover the most important information without feeling pressured to cover everything. If you can, start out slowly—even for only 20 to 30 minutes—take a little rest, and then repeat. You’ll feel more in control if you remind yourself that taking action is already a victory. No one test can determine your value, and you’re not the only one who feels this way. You’ve got this; just keep moving forward, one little step at a time.

Also, about private uni, although I do not have direct experience with it but I’ve heard many of the private uni students like my friends are doing really well in their job and some are even in government sector jobs. I believe that as much as the certificate is important, the experience and character of the individual also plays a very big role when an employer is selecting for potential candidates. We can talk after! For now, focus on your As (remaining papers). All the best!!
