Hi @ynjnzz,
Have you tried to talk to your parents about how you study?
I understand that you’re feeling conflicted right now, and it can be really tough when you feel like you’re caught between your personal needs and the expectations of others. It’s clear that you care about your studies and want to do your best, but it also sounds like the time constraints your parents have set for you are creating some frustration and making it hard for you to balance your learning style.
It seems like your brain works best when studying at night, but there are rules in place that make this difficult. That’s a really tough situation, and it makes sense that you’re unsure about how to handle it. What would it feel like to talk to your parents about how you study best? They may not know that nighttime is the most effective time for you to concentrate. It might help to explain to them that you’re trying to study in a way that works for you and ask if there is any room for flexibility in your sleep schedule to accommodate your learning needs.
At the same time, you may need to think about how to manage your study time more effectively during the day so you can find a balance that works for both you and your parents. Have you thought about what some potential distractions are that you might overlook causing you to have a conducive environment to study? Sometimes a compromise can help both sides feel heard and respected.
I want to acknowledge that you’re doing your best to navigate this tough situation, and that effort is valuable. What are some small changes you might try that could help you feel like you’re balancing your needs with your parents’ expectations? It’s all about finding a solution that works for both you and your family, and I believe with some open communication, you can find that middle ground.
Be patient and remember that it’s acceptable to communicate your needs and seek understanding. You’ve got this, and you’re not alone in figuring it out."
hello @ynjnzz ! Try to seek their opinions and discuss with them. I’m a night owl myself too, and sometimes it can be difficult to study in the morning, but after several attempts at adjusting, it’s doable . In your parents perspective, they might be considering about your health, whether you have enough sleep and the timing of the actual examination
. Try discussing with them about the sleeping hours such as instead of 9pm, maybe we can try to push it to 11pm?
