Hello, for me I will try to wake up 15 minutes earlier for the few days left and try to go to bed early by 15 minutes in intervals. Hope this helps ![]()
Hi there! Understandable I used to face this issue in my earlier years of poly. Not sure if it might help for you, but I do hands-on activities before bed such as bracelet-making, colouring, sometimes gymming or walking outside helps stir fatigue
If I feel like doing something productive, I may read some study material, or smtimes watch educational videos on YT (can be related to your academics). However, I try to limit screens as it can affect the amount of time to fall asleep.
I try to wind down at least 2h before bed, I take slow, warm showers before bedtime to make myself more sleepy.
You can try drinking milk which increases your melatonin levels (sleepiness)
If you have trouble waking up at 5.45am, I sometimes set loud alarms with my favourite alarm sound/song so that waking up doesnt feel like a pain in the head , especially when I have morning shifts for my nursing internships :“”)
If you are a coffee drinker, going to the kitchen right away for a cup might help get you going (potentially reduce the feeling of going back to bed haha)
Hopefully some of these help!
Hey @perspectives,
Thank you for sharing what you’re going through. Similar to what @thursday mentioned, taking steps small by pushing your nighttime routine forward by 15 minutes and waking up earlier by 15 minutes may help. Additionally, you could try doing things that tire you out during the day, like exercising. But also know that it may take time to readjust, so be kind to yourself during the readjustment phase. Hope this helps and all the best ![]()
