hi i dont fully know how this works but honestly life has been ok but also not ok recently. Like nothing bad has happened but it just feels like im going through the motions I’ve been having a tough time sleeping also and i recently just took up a part time job (cause my friend asked me to follow) and i dont know if i made the right decision (its not that i regret it, its that the location just brings back memories of a time i dont want to think of). Anyways the main point is that I dont know how to find a way to get a meaning to why i wake up everyday(depressing ik) but like its an issue that i kept pushing back for like a really long time now.. actually what i want from this is probably like what i should do to find motivation.

Thank you for opening up about what has been happening. I can sense how much you have been carrying inside, all by yourself. It’s a heavy burden undoubtedly.
I think it’s understandable that even though nothing ‘bad’ has happened, feeling like you’re just going through the motion can be unsettling and discouraging. It is also makes sense that you are wondering about your motivation right now.
Thank you for updating that you recently started a part-time job. This suggests to me you are making efforts to take charge of your life. Well done.
Unfortunately your work place is a location which reminds you of stressful memories associated with that location. Please know that most of us would also be similarly affected. Our surrounding environment inevitably does affect us, usually more that we realise. Hence, I feel It would be hard for anyone. It doesn’t mean you made the wrong choice, so be kind to yourself.
May I gently remind you that you don’t have to figure all of this out on your own. Talking to a school counsellor could help you understand why things feel so flatlined, examine sleep patterns and equip you with skills and tools to deal with it. You deserve support, not pressure.
For now, do be patient with yourself.
I have observed that motivation does not always show up immediately at the start of an endeavour. However, it grows and generates momentum when you start taking small steps, such as checking in with your feelings, setting tiny goals, or doing one meaningful thing for yourself every day.
Please know that you are not alone in this, and it’s okay to ask for help whenever needed.![]()
