Mental health situation correlated with physical health

Okay so despite what therapies tell me not to work focus on the symptoms. Indeed when I was reading the book or doing something else right the symptoms will be reduced by 15% however you have to look at what type of symptom it is. I feel that the therapist and themselves not very helpful because I’m trying to tell them I’m trying to find my best way to solve the problems but they tell me not to overthink it. Another thing I don’t like is the deep breathing and of course the part where they tell me to focus at the present moment which doesn’t solve my problem at all.

  1. I have chronic migraine and tension headache pain. I often wake up in the morning feeling the pain on my head on the right side and often have to take some painkiller, otherwise it will only by afternoon then I will be able to wake up in the morning. I have also got the TMJ pain, dry eye on the right side and right shoulder stiffness, I suspect this strongly related to my headache.

  2. I will have blocked nose when I sleep at the night.

Hey @user1811 I understand that you’re going through a lot of pain with the headaches in the morning that continue through the day. It seems to be a lot and I get that you can’t seem to focus at the present moment with so much pain you’re undergoing. I suggest that you consult a doctor based on this and really get to figure out the root problem to your TMJ pain, dry eyes, shoulder stiffness and blocked nose at night. As for migraine and tension headache there’s not much to do but you can always take the necessary amount of sleep and rest at night and ensure that you don’t stress yourself out in your work. Always have a balance between work and rest  I hope this helps and you can always reach out to me if you have any concerns!

Just wanted to affirm that regardless of whether there are physical or psychological causes for your experiences, I wanted to take the time to affirm that these sensations feel very real and painful for you. I’m sorry to hear that you feel your therapist has not been helpful. Have you been receiving any support for pain management? And what are some of triggers for these symptoms?

I also want to affirm that you’re also able to share these feelings with your therapist and give feedback! Sometimes it can be that a therapist is not a good fit, and that’s okay
