There’s a saying “Saving money starts from young”. But for most of us, we have no idea the limit of spending money. Moreover, with stressors from all lvls where we dont have a way to cope, teens will jump to unhealthy habits such as compulsive spending(as an adult myself I admit that I wld jump to spending on things that are unnneccesary). Hence, when it comes to financial stress, I believe that it’s best to share the load with your family(bills, expenses), so that you and your loved ones can overcome it together. Thats what I did when I realised I had a habit of spending money when I felt overwhelmed, I had to share my troubles w my family about not being to save money/vice versa(on delivery or transport platforms) . Then they reccommended me to do up a ledger/ budget limit ( ex: $100 a day ) and I also tried to balance my needs and wants (especially for my favorite stuff like anime/kpop goods). Sometimes, I would think twice before spending(be it self care or food/stationery). As much as it is difficult to control my spending, I believe it’s all comes down to discipline and balance when it comes to spending money. Especially if you are saving up for a trip, marraige, buying a flat, it is very important to have the support of your loved ones when you have trouble footing expenses , bills etc.
