I feel pretty much alone in school, not many friends, sometimes sitting by myself at one corner, I feel pretty burnt out with managing my commitments with school also, I dont really know what i want. I feel like i want to dropout of school and start working.

Hey @user6792. I hear you. It’s really tough to feel like you’re just trying to survive school and not enjoy it, especially when the loneliness and burnout start piling up. Feeling alone and drained at the same time can make everything feel blurry, even your goals. And it’s really really okay to not have everything figured out right now.

Sometimes when we’re overwhelmed, our minds jump to big options like dropping out, when what we might actually be needing is rest, support, or just a clearer sense of direction. And the fact that you’re talking about this shows a lot of awareness as you’re trying to understand yourself better, and that’s not easy when you’re feeling this way :yellow_heart:

If it helps at all, maybe you could take things in small steps:

  • Give yourself a bit of space. Even a short break or a day to recharge can make things feel less suffocating.

  • Try checking in with yourself about what’s draining you most. Is it social stuff, workload, expectations, or something else? Sometimes naming it can ease the pressure.

  • If there’s someone you trust, even just one person, talking things out can make the loneliness feel a little less painful. You’re sharing it here so that’s a step!

  • And it’s okay to explore your options slowly, whether that’s adjusting your workload, seeking support at school, or thinking about work in the future, none of it has to be decided right now.

Be kind to yourself, okie? I hope you find a bit of calm and support in the coming days :sunflower:

Hi @user6792 ,

That sounds really tough. Feeling alone and burnt out can make everything at school feel so much heavier and draining. It also makes it hard to figure out who you are and what you want, and so it makes sense that things may feel confusing or you are feeling uncertain right now. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way, even if it feels like it.

When feelings get this heavy and overwhelming, it is so natural to want to change something to feel a bit of relief. There is nothing wrong with it—it makes complete senses.

I really liked what @ScribblingSunflower shared to. It’s okay not to have everything figured out—most people don’t especially when things feel overwhelming. And it might be good to try slow down and get support.

If you feel up for it, I’m happy to share a couple of things that have helped me or my friends when we felt stuck. No pressure at all, just take whatever feels useful and right for you:

  • Writing things out can sometimes make your thoughts feel a bit less heavy.
  • Trying small hobbies or interests can help you reconnect with things that make you feel like you, even for a few minutes.
  • And sometimes, talking through the pros and cons of different options with someone can bring a bit more clarity

But really, you don’t have to rush any decisions. And you don’t have to go through this alone. If you want to talk more about what’s been weighing on you, I’m here.

Take care

hello, thank you for sharing. I understand that it can get stressful at times, managing different commitments. What helps me to manage my stress has to be taking walks around the park near me, as it helps me to recollect my thoughts, alternatively perhaps you can try to engage in your hobbies for two days in a month! rooting for you op!
