Hello. Recently received my o level results and for the effort I put in. The results are very poor. It further reinforced the concept to my mother that I am nothing but a failure and a mediocre child. That there is nothing special in me. My choices for a junior college is limited and I’m very worried for my future. I’ve talked to ChatGPT and a friend of mine for support but thought I’d come here for further reassurance.
Hey @user1662 , your results may not reflect the effort you put in, but remember, grades are just one part of your journey, not the whole story of who you are or what you can achieve.
You’re far from a failure. Effort, resilience, and the courage to seek support are all qualities that make you special. Those things might not show up on a certificate, but they’re invaluable in shaping the person you’re becoming.
Life doesn’t just follow one straight route to success—there are so many ways to achieve your dreams. Whether you choose a junior college, a polytechnic, or explore other opportunities, what matters is that you keep going.
Your worth isn’t determined by anyone else’s opinion, not even your mother’s. You’re still growing, learning, and discovering what makes you unique. So be kind to yourself, okay? You’re still young and your future’s not set in stone—it’s something you build step by step. Jiayou!!
