You might have come across my posts about how irritating it is to be around my family members. Be it being undecided, dominating or self-centred, they just behave as if the whole world revolves around them.
Honestly, I can’t seem to tolerate their ignorance towards worldly activities. My family’s dysfunction is thriving thanks to friends and family, who seemingly normalise dysfunction, as something that makes one stronger. It’s not about life being challenging that’s the problem, but they are just normalising feelings of hurt, pain and unhappiness.
Another thing is that, it seems as if it’s an asian thing to be unsettled. Don’t worry, I know that this statement is false. Though not everyone is settled in life, that doesn’t mean we can stay unsettled.
I have tried exploring ways to fill this void like connecting with my friends, taking part in community activities, but nothing seems to help compensate the lack of connection to my family.
I can closely relate to the baby monkey punch in the Japan zoo…
