i don’t know why but when i feel anxiety or any failure or stress i just hit myself. is this normal?

I do the same too. The reason for doing so is to snap myself out of the confused state that I maybe in when thoughts are overwhelming. But I am always in control in how hard and where I hit so that I don’t injure myself.
I think it’s fine if it helps you handle your anxiety or stress better and not for causing harm to yourself or to put yourself down.
