Depression relapsed this year n its so exhausting cuz of it. Recovered for 2 to 3 years. Can’t believe i lived w depression for 15 years b4 knowing its real n got help
Depression is really exhausting and I hear that it has returned after a few years. It sucks that it’s back and episodes can feel as tough. But what changes is that with each time if and when it comes back, you’re a different person. I’m hearing that you got diagnosed and wished you had it earlier. That knowledge and different lens will provide new perspectives to your experience you may not have had before. Was there anything you feel like you need or want to talk about when it comes to your current episode?
Yet I hear there’s some grief as well? That lost time over the years of not knowing that you had depression. What are some of the things you’d like to tell that younger you?
Dear @user1138 ,

It is tough that depression has relapsed, but i hope that you know of your immense strength to conquer it. You have done it before, and you can do it again. I believe in you. You are already 1 step forward - recognising that it is back. That takes courage. Seeking professional can really help you, and i hope that you will find the right fit for you. I believe in you, and there are many good things in life worth fighting for. You got this!
hi @user1138,
I’m really sorry to hear that you are going through this. Relapses can be incredibly exhausting and disheartening, especially after experiencing a period of recovery. It is important to acknowledge the strength it took to seek help and manage your depression for so many years.
It is okay to feel overwhelmed, and reaching out for support is a good sign. Are you still in contact with the professional that helped you before? Please consider reaching out to again before the situation becomes too difficult to handle. Your journey is unique, and taking care of yourself is the most important thing right now! I wish you all the best!
