Good or bad days?

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well! I’ve been reflecting on what makes a day ‘good’ or ‘bad’ lately, and I’m curious to hear your thoughts. For me, a good day is when everything just clicks – maybe acing a test, catching up with friends, or simply having a good laugh. Bad days, on the other hand, can feel like an uphill battle, where nothing seems to go right.

But here’s the twist - sometimes what starts as a ‘bad’ day can turn around with a little positivity, and vice versa. It’s like life’s very own rollercoaster ride, with unexpected twists and turns.

So, my questions for you all:

  1. What defines a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ day for you? :star2:
  2. How do you turn around a challenging day and make it better? :muscle:

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! :rainbow::sparkles:

I had a bad day today, like a really really bad day. The thing about bad days is that you know the exact moment that your day turned “bad”. There’s definitely a trigger event, and then when you think it doesn’t get worse it definitely does and it’s a whole downward spiral.

I try my best to think positively and look for the silver linings whenever this happens. But honestly on bad days, I’m only really able to do so enough to continue semi-functioning. Like really enough to just get through the motions and do the little bits of what is utmost essential. And I feel lucky that most of my bad days I still find something to be grateful about, a supportive friend, a really kind stranger etc.

I do find that the good of the day doesn’t necessarily “cancel out” the bad though… And maybe that makes sense cos emotions aren’t a zero sum game right? They are definitely more complex than that. I don’t know how to make bad days go away, and today, I don’t know how I can not let this one bad thing ruin my entire weekend. But time definitely heals, so here’s to more good days than bad days. And also to bad days that look not so bad on hindsight…
