I hear you—it can be really frustrating when it feels like people who act over-the-top are the ones getting all the attention. You’re not alone in feeling that way.

Sometimes, people who seem full of themselves might just be trying to feel seen or secure in their own way. And those who encourage them might be drawn to that confidence, or simply want to fit in. Everyone’s navigating their own stuff, even if it doesn’t always show on the surface.

It’s totally okay to feel thrown off by all that. When it starts to feel overwhelming, it can really help to take a step back and focus on the people and spaces that feel more grounded and real. Your peace matters—and choosing what nurtures that is a kind of strength too.

A little compassion all around—toward others and yourself—can really go a long way :yellow_heart:

Hi @user6834 I hear the frustration, and perhaps feeling a little isolated as well? I had a conversation recently with a friend about someone who was like this, yet it seemed like no one else in the group was seeing it.

Group dynamics are sometimes really important. It may be over the top for you, but it may seem alright for others. That doesn’t mean your opinion isn’t valid, we just may click differently depending on the person. And that’s okay – we can’t get along with 100% of people. There’s going to be a 1% (and easily way more than 1%) that I just won’t get or click with. Yet someone else might get along great with the 1% I can’t get along with.

It is frustrating, and that’s okay. For me at least, I find it helpful to realise that we all carry our own experiences and we’re all just really unique and different people
