Sounds like your job is tough. Not sure if it’s the best environment for you if it makes your depression relapse. What have you tried to do about this situation?

Dear @user1138 ,

Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear you’re having a tough time again. :people_hugging:

Your mental health is non-negotiable, especially if you’re feeling depressed and having suicidal thoughts because of a tough job. Reach out to a mental health professional, like a therapist or psychiatrist, who can help you cope with your feelings. You don’t have to go through this alone. :yellow_heart: Together, they can help you explore different strategies for moving forward.

Share your thoughts with a trusted friend or family member; talking about your struggles can help. Take care of your body by eating well, sleeping enough, and exercising regularly, as this can help your mind feel better too. Try to set limits at work to manage your workload. If possible, talk to your boss about your situation and see if they can make changes to reduce your stress. If you feel stuck in your industry, look for different roles within the same field that might be less stressful or more enjoyable.

Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or mindfulness to help manage stress and anxiety. Take short breaks during your workday to rest and recharge, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Write down positive experiences or things you’re grateful for each day in a journal to help focus on the good things in your life.

Also, review your safety plan again, in case you feel overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts; reach out for support:

  1. SOS - 1767 or their 24 hour CareText - WhatsApp 9151 1767, a text-based service that provides emotional support for those in distress
  2. IMH Hotline - 6389-2222
  3. Go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Your safety and well-being are most important and taking steps to care for it shows strength and self-care. I hope the above has been helpful and if you’d like more resources or if there is anything else you’d like to share with us, please do. We’re here to listen to you, your feelings are valid and you matter! :grinning:

Take care,
Cool Breeze =)
