What are some unhelpful habits?

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna talk about habits so this will be a series where we take a look at some unhelpful ones. :mag: Since habits do not require conscious attention, it continues unless consciously disrupted. So, let’s take a look at the list below and see how many you can identify.

  • You aim for (unattainable) perfection as your inner critic insists you to ‘Try harder!’. But no matter what you do, it is never good enough because those standards are not (humanly) possible. Thus, your successes are always experienced as failures and you eventually give up competing with yourself, because it is a lost cause.
  • You put more importance on others’ wants and needs without realising, because you strongly believe that it is the best way for you to get along with them. And that leads to them accepting you, albeit conditionally.
