Cannot find something in retirement life m
Hi @user8770 ,
That sounds like a difficult situation… Do you mind sharing what retirement means for you?
Hello @user8770
Even though I’m not a retiree, I hear you. Wondered if you’ve explored any interest or hobbies. Adjusting from working to retirement can be tough (I’ve seen my relatives struggling to adjust with retirement) so just wanted to tell and remind you to be patient with yourself, it’ll take time to find something suitable for you.
I hope eventually you’ll find something suitable for yourself. In the meantime, take care!
hey there! I hear you, It makes sense that you’re feeling bored in the retirement life after having that weekly work routine. Have you had a chance to explore any previous hobbies you’ve had?
With the free time you have now, you have to ability to do anything you wish! For starters, something as simple as exploring around your area, you may even find some interesting hidden gems to share with family or friends!
Travelling out could also be an option, if you don’t want to plan out an itinerary, you could use a tour package.
Wishing you all the best! Be kind to yourself and remember that learning never ends, so don’t be afraid to take that step forward!
@user8770 Going from a packed schedule to suddenly having all this free time can feel weird and even a little unsettling. I’m curious—what are you into these days? Or even stuff you used to enjoy? Also, have you been hanging out or catching up with friends or family? Sometimes those connections make a big difference when you’re figuring out what’s next.

hi @user8770 ,
I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. Retirement can be a significant transition, and it is common to feel a bit lost or bored as you adjust to a new routine. Finding purpose and enjoyment in retirement can take some time, but there are many ways to explore new interests and activities.
Consider trying out new hobbies or revisiting old ones that you enjoyed but did not have time for before. You can also consider volunteering as a way to find purpose and connect with your community. You can also try joining clubs or groups to meet new people and build friendships. Travel if you have the means to!
I hope you will be able to find joy and fulfillment!
Hey,
I’m not in retirement myself, but I hear you.
It can be tough when the structure of work or daily life isn’t there to guide you. But I’ve found that it helps to start from small steps - explore things you’ve always wanted to try or revisit hobbies you used to enjoy. It doesn’t have to be something big, just something that brings you a little spark each day.
It’s okay to take your time to find your new rhythm. You’re not alone in this, and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to discover what feels fulfilling in this new phase of life
