Been holding this thought in me for a very long time.
But today i was very pissed off when the VWO manager called me and say they dont cannot help me. And that dont have the service i needed.
So….in return, i confronted him, and ask him. do you know why people commit suicide? And he was puzzled and as me why. So…i return i told him that its because of VWOs like yours that advertised a lot but deliver very little, people come in to seek help but you turn them down. And every VWOs close their doors on them. So…..if the person dont commit suicide what else can they do?
Its really hopeless to see the mindset of both younger generations of healthcare and social service professional who just conivently decline people the help and support they needed without knowing that rejection might just cause a person their life.
Being someone that is trained in both mental health and social service, i can very quickly spot the entire system flaw and just make it clear to those service providers. And its up to them whether they wanted to listen or not.
And end of the day…..if every VWOS reject people needing help, because they cannot 100% support the person in need of help with limited resources and regulations as an excuse. How can those people even get help? Having to called up one service provider to another asking for support, i didnt expect them to be perfectionist. but they expected themselves to be a perfectionist.
I was telling the centre manager that, i dont expect you to support me 100%, i just need to touch on some of the service you have, and later go to other centre to grabs other service to make it up to the 100%. But he keep telling me is not doable.
Seriously……this is one part of the support flaw that should be looked into.
