I feel very frustrated and alone.
I miss my girlfriend a lot and we’ve been spending time together where possible, but she seems to be in a bad mood right now because she got reminded of something I did to upset her recently.
I am not expecting us to fix things and get over it overnight, but I hate when she’s upset and there’s a distance between us.
I want us to fix things. I just wish it was easier. I wish she knew how much I love her and how badly I want this to work more than anything.
I get scared that she might leave me, or that she’ll eventually not want to be with me anymore. I think its tricky because she has broken my heart before a few times and it makes it hard to have faith in us. I keep getting so many positive signs but I need something concrete.
Hi @silkraven,
It sounds incredibly exhausting to carry the constant weight of anxiety, especially when past heartbreaks make it so hard to feel secure in your relationship right now. Feeling that painful distance when you want to fix things and show your love is deeply frustrating, and it makes complete sense that you are feeling scared and alone. Personally, I have not been in a relationship, but I can see your effort in trying to make this work. Your dedication to making things work shows how much you care, but carrying the heavy burden of these fears entirely on your own is a lot for anyone to bear.
Navigating the emotional waves of a relationship + trying to find concrete reassurance can feel like a lonely uphill battle, but reaching out for support is a profound sign of emotional resilience. It takes real courage to admit when the uncertainty is too overwhelming to handle on your own. If you ever feel that way, speaking with a professional or relationship counsellor can help you find a safe, grounded space to untangle these fears. Ultimately, the choice is yours, and you can seek help when you feel truly ready.
You deserve to feel secure and at peace, and seeking that guidance is a powerful step toward finding clarity for both yourself and your relationship.
