Dear @user7935

Thank you for sharing what you are going through and being very clear on wanting to be more in control. That awareness is a good first step.

Since you are a student, do consider reaching out to your school counsellor soon. They listen unconditionally and non judgmentally and will be able to journey with you on the areas you are struggling with. It’s understandable you are feeling stressed with the many aspects of your lives. Many students can relate to how you are feeling so you are not alone. I believe speaking to the school counsellor would help as they are likely to have worked with many students in the same situation as you, who eventually emerged stronger after adopting a systematic approach to being in control.

Stay optimistic, I believe the situation is temporary and by seeking support and taking steady action, it will get better for you. :yellow_heart:

Hey there, I’m really glad you shared this. It sounds like you’re feeling overwhelmed and a bit out of control, and that “running out of time” feeling can be really scary. But what you’re going through doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. It usually means you’re under a lot of pressure, and your emotions are trying to cope with more than they can comfortably hold right now.

Wanting help is a really important step, and you deserve it. If you don’t want your parents to know yet, you still have options. You could reach out to someone trusted in school, like a counselor or teacher. These conversations are often kept private, and they’re there to support you without judgment.

If you’d prefer something more anonymous, you can also talk to:

  • Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) – they have a 24/7 hotline (1767) and text/chat services
  • IMH Mental Health Helpline (6389 2222)
  • CHAT (Community Health Assessment Team) – free mental health support for youths

For now, try to slow things down a little. You don’t have to figure out your whole life at once. Even getting through today is enough. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and there are ways to feel more steady again with the right support:)
