Whenever I am in high stress situations (that happens quite often) I feel a lot of discomfort. My body heats up, my brain fogs and my head starts to hurt. I’ve been chalking it up to a stress response, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s more serious since I’m experiencing headaches from stress pretty often.
might be anxiety. you might want to get that checked out if it really hinders you
Dear @sucr0se
Thank you for reaching out. Many of the symptoms you describe are certainly commonly experienced when stressed.
It would be good to explore the resources available at mindline on managing stress such as deep breathing.
I also recommend taking regular breaks, physical activity and speaking to trusted friends and family to unwind and decompress.
Understandably you are wondering if the symptoms indicate you may be experiencing something more severe or serious. I recommend contacting the national mindline at 1771 and speaking to a counsellor on duty. The counsellor will listen, and be able to guide you further on recommended resources and follow up. This hotline operates 24/7.
I encourage you to seek help soon with the aim of reducing distress and improve your wellbeing. ![]()
