Hi @anonymous271 ,
Thanks for reaching out to get things off your chest and make more space in your head. Sometimes, just typing things out is a great start to unravelling what’s bothering you. It’s clear that you’re going through a tough time, and it’s completely okay to feel confused and overwhelmed.
It sounds like you’re struggling with expressing your emotions and figuring out what you need right now. That’s a common experience, especially when everything feels chaotic. Yes, you are making sense. It’s okay to take things one step at a time. There are no wrong steps, and all feelings are valid.
If you feel comfortable, please share if there are any specific stressors. Is it school, work, relationships, or other pressures? Knowing what’s causing your stress can be the first step to finding ways to cope with it.
Give yourself permission to take small steps to open up. You don’t have to dive into the deep stuff right away. Maybe start by sharing just a little bit with someone you trust. Here are some journal prompts that might help:
- What are three things that have been on my mind a lot lately?
- When was the last time I felt truly happy, and what was I doing?
- What do I wish people understood about me right now?
It’s okay if you can’t fully articulate your feelings right now. Sometimes, just acknowledging that you’re struggling can be helpful. You might try writing down your thoughts, even if they seem messy. Here are some prompts to get you started:
- What emotions am I feeling right now, and why do I think I’m feeling them?
- If my feelings could speak, what would they say?
- What are some things I want to say but find hard to express?
If you’re finding it more challenging than you’d like, please consider reaching out to a counsellor or therapist. They can provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings and help you find clarity at a pace comfortable to you. You’re wellbeing and safety is non-negotiable. In the meantime, please take good care of yourself. This can mean different things for different people – getting enough sleep, eating well, spending time on activities you enjoy, or just taking a break when you need it. Practices like deep breathing, meditation, or even just going for a walk can help clear your mind and reduce feelings of being overwhelmed.
It’s okay to feel like this, and it’s okay to ask for help. Taking the first step to talk about what you’re experiencing is already a big move in the right direction.
We’re here for you too! Hit reply and let us know more whenever you are ready.
Warm regards,
