Recently I’ve been having troubles controlling my gooning addictions, and its been fluctuating a lot since my breakup like 2 years ago. This issue has been causing me to doubt my gender as a 17M. I also keep experiencing episodes of sadness and anger and then wake up the next day feeling out of place about myself. I just felt like writing down my thoughts, thanks.

Thank you for writing out your experiences and feelings. It takes courage to do so and to share the sadness hurt and confusion you are currently in.
Furthermore you recognise you are addicted and that this addiction may be causing harm. Some effects of the addiction may include feeling disoriented and impaired sleep.
Please may I encourage you to speak to your school counsellor on what you are going through. Contacting the national mindline at 1771 is also recommended as an option. The hotline is manned 24/7 by caring and knowledgeable counsellors who are non judgmental and approachable.
