I'm feeling stuck

Hi. I’m feeling stuck and helpless. I do not know what to do for my future. Everything seems to be overwhelming for me

yikess… feeling helpless & lost rlly is the worst . if you’re comfortable, maybe you could share a bit more about what’s been weighing on your mind? no pressure thoughh

No job, currently undergoing anxiety and depression treatment . I feel hopeless and irritable all the time

Hey @user8834,

Reading this, it sounds like you’re dealing with pressure from several directions at the same time. No job, treatment still ongoing, and your system having to stay on high alert day after day. In that situation, anxiety is understandable, and irritability often shows up when there isn’t much space to rest or recover.

One thing that can quietly add to the strain is how the mind reacts when there’s no obvious progress. It’s common to start thinking that nothing is working, even though healing and treatment usually happen unevenly and slowly. Recovery rarely feels linear, and when you’re inside it, it can genuinely feel like you’re not moving at all.

It also seems like the need to think about big changes work, future direction, finances might be making things heavier. When everything already feels overwhelming, looking too far ahead can push the nervous system into more tension or shutdown, which then feeds the sense of hopelessness.

For now, it might help to gently widen support without making it another demand on yourself:

  • Are there any practical or financial supports you’re already exploring, or someone helping you think through that side?
  • Is there even one person or service you could lean on without having to explain everything, for example, a call to Mindline at 1771?
  • Alongside medical care, are there small, steady things that help your body settle a little i.e. quiet walks, music, breathing, or something repetitive?

These aren’t solutions, just ways of easing the load while you’re healing. We don’t need to solve everything at once. Taking this one layer at a time is enough for now. If you feel up to it, feel free to share more about what’s weighing on you most.
